Donna has more than 20 years experience in hair styling and training young stylists in the UK and Australia. She is passionate about hairdressing and remains very hands on with clients in the salon.
She makes sure that her team regularly update their skills via seminars and practical workshops nationwide to ensure clients always have access to the latest look and styles. Donna's speciality: cutting, colour, re-styling and special occasion hair.
Carey brings along a wealth of experience from 24 years in the industry. Formerly from Michaels Hair design in Nailsea has spent 24 years being trained by and also working with Mike.
Carey joins our Backwell team and specialises in cutting styling perming colouring and hair ups. With her hard working positive go for it attitude her brilliant skill for hair and her cheeky sense of humour making all around her smile she fits right in at Backwell.
Kelly has worked at Hair@Houlahans for several years and has built an excellent reputation with her wealth of experience and can be seen working in both salons.
Originally training at Brunel College, she then went on to work at a salon in Axbridge for 17 years and 7 of those years she managed said salon, when she had her daughter she wanted more time with her and worked from home deciding she wanted to get more salon experience again and hasn’t looked back.
Wendy has been hairdressing for over 30years, she served a 5 year apprenticeship in Backwell studying at Brunel college Bristol. Wendy has been working at Talkin' Heads for 19 years. She loves job and specialising in cutting setting perming and pin curling.
Lucy joined our team after completing work experience in year 10, we quickly snapped her up knowing she was a diamond in the making. She has gone on to complete her level 2.5 apprenticeship and is making waves into colouring techniques such as Ombré and or balayage.
With her natural flair for hair and her kind gentle approach she is quickly becoming a great hairdresser. She has always been a valued member of staff often almost reading other stylists minds in assisting them, she is now carving her way into being a valued stylist and we are lucky to have her with us. Lucy generally works in our Backwell salon but she guest stars in our Weston salon from time to time.
Emma Dando (also known as Chelsea) is a senior stylist has been a hairdresser for 20 years and trained in a Weston salon where she gained the work name Chelsea for her love of Chelsea buns, she has built up a reputation of listening to her clients and delivering beautiful looks. Chelsea has worked at Houlahans for over 11 years (with a 2 year baby gap) she specialises in foils, creative colour, restyles and hair ups for that special occasion.
Eloise is our Apprentice in Milton but does guest star in Backwell from time to time. Eloise has a natural ability to put people at ease her cool and calming aura is reflected in her work plus she gives a great relaxing head massage. She started in 2021 and is enjoying learning all about hair a conscientious caring hard worker, and creative junior stylist she is progressing well within the business. She keeps all the colleagues happy and we wouldn’t be without her.
